Release Version 2111 | November

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Released an update to our Time Machine clocks to better optimize its performance, as well as an update to show the current date and time on the Home page.
  • Improved how Time Machines sync to better handle locations with poor internet/network connectivity.
  • Updates to Applicant Tracking to make the experience more seamless for employees.
  • Fixed a minor issue where users would sometimes be logged out unexpectedly after opening a document.
  • Fixed a minor issue with the calculation of schedule costs on holidays.
  • Various performance improvements to the Time Machine to help with locations that have a high employee count.

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Created an automated job to send new user emails to our mailing list to keep them in the loop on software updates and other news.
  • Performance updates for Time Machine timeclocks.

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Improved restrictions around deleting Secure Scheduling Penalties in the UI.
  • Removed depreciated pages from the application for new customers.
  • Enhancements for Schedule Enforcement on the Time Machine.

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Daily View in schedules now displays scheduled breaks in a more intuitive way.
  • Improvements to the stability of Reports.
  • Performance and stability improvements to the Time Machine.
  • Fixed some configuration issues that would sometimes occur when editing employees.
  • Stability improvements to our Import Utility.

Release Version 2107 | July

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Improved the stability of our Time Machine timeclocks based on customer feedback
  • Released a Missed Tasks Report for StoreWalk (task management).
  • Made minor updates to our Web Clock In feature to interact better with the dashboard widget.

New Feature:

  • Released our initial integration with FMS for employee data. We can now consume basic employee information from FMS and automatically update TimeForge with that data.

Release Version 2106 | June

Improvements and Fixes:

  • When syncing with the web, timeclocks should now only fetch the last 30 days' worth of terminated employees.
  • Fixed a rounding issue in ReadyPay exports.
  • Various updates and improvements to our Flyght integration.
  • Updated how open/close and right-to-rest penalties work, in preparation for adding more functionality.
  • Made the clock-in widget more user-friendly for employees that companies with IP Address restrictions.

New Feature:

  • We've released a new report to identify employees that haven't enrolled fingerprints on the timeclock.

Release Version 2105 | May

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Fixed some edge cases around meal penalties that could cause false positives. 
  • Made our navigation more responsive for android users. 
  • Updated the wording on the employee timeclock widget to better communicate IP address restrictions. 
  • Removed an unnecessary restriction for assigning HR Documents on the corporate level. 
  • Tidied up multiple backend exceptions to clean up logging.
  • Fixed an issue with timeclocks where breaks weren't always rounded for customers that had break rounding enabled. 
  • Updated our backend logging to better report user changes and updates. This helps when we're diagnosing how problems occurred and looking into who made changes. 
  • Updated the UI on the Weekly View in Schedules to have a cleaner look and feel and to make reviewing the schedule a bit easier. 
  • Updated the new drag and drop scheduling view to better support transferring of shifts from store to store. 
  • Updated the logic with our meal penalties to continue to stay legally compliant with changing California break laws
  • Pushed out nationwide support for Secure Scheduling Penalties. TimeForge can now automatically calculate penalties for employees due to secure scheduling violations.
  • Redesigned the HR Documents widget to be more straightforward for employees, with documents that need reviewed or updated up front, and completed documents in a separate tab. 
  • Updated our invoices with our logo and latest address.
  • Our TimeForge Payroll export has been updated to support processing Shift Differential pay and Secure Scheduling penalties.
  • We added a toggle on break rule configuration to allow users to allocate breaks into "Rest" and "Meal" sections on the Time Machine time clock.

Release Version 2104 | April

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Made improvements to allocation of PTO for customers using our FMS payroll integration, including the ability to pull newly designed penalties across to FMS.
  • Updated some of our new pages to be more responsive with Microsoft Edge.

New Features:

  • Added open/close penalties for states like Oregon and cities like Chicago, which require a certain rest period for employees between shifts. We can automatically associate worked hours with open/close pay codes.
  • Completed a new sales integration into DUMAC RORCv6. Customers using RORC can now view their sales in TimeForge and take advantage of TimeForge's powerful sales forecasting system.
  • Added promotional items to the sign in page to highlight new TimeForge features as they’re released.
  • Implemented the framework for Secure Scheduling exceptions to allow users in secure scheduling states to track when violations occur.


Release Version 2103 | March

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Added some backend Google tracking code to better monitor the usage/performance of the application.
  • Redesigned our bounce emails to be prettier and much more user friendly.
  • Changed the name of Security Templates to Permission Groups and HR Types to Documents to better communicate each feature’s intent. We also updated Leave Types to Leave Policies.
  • Fixed an edge case where supervisors could access pay rates that they shouldn’t have access to.
  • Improved the usability for numerous pages, including Attendance Options, My Schedule, Ad Hoc reporting, Shift Swaps, and Applicant Tracking.

New Features:

  • Added new accrual functionality around PTO. Leave accruals can now be customized to only accrue based on certain attendance pay codes and now can even accrue based on other leave policy usage!
  • Added a new page to support our E-Verify integration. Users can quickly and easily manage their E-Verify cases directly on a new corporate dashboard page, and employees can directly fill out their I-9 in TimeForge.
  • Added defaults and default-checking for new hires. TimeForge will now automatically set the Home Location, Department, and Position for employees when hired, and can warn you about users missing any of these defaults.


Release Version 2102 | February

Improvements and Fixes:

  • Updated our CPLH calculations to accommodate departments based on an SPLH target, allowing locations to use blended targets based on department need.
  • Pages that require a department selection will auto-hide or select based on user access, for users with access to only one department, saving users a few clicks across the application.
  • Redesigned some pages in our applicant tracking module to be more streamlined and responsive.

New Features:

  • Released new drag and drop scheduling functionality for the Daily View. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
  • Created an Edit Attendance style view for editing employee shifts on the Manage Attendance page.
  • Shift Differentials can now be updated so that employees only qualify for Shift Differential pay after a configurable number of days from hire.
  • Added a new COVID-19 Health Questionnaire, which asks CDC Health Questions when employees clock in. It prevents at-risk employees from clocking in and alerts the on-duty manager.
  • Released a new report that displays all attendance entries that have exceptions.


Release Version 2101 | January

Improvements and Fixes:

  • TimeForge now syncs additional categories of sales for CBS NorthStar.
  • Employees can now directly interact with and complete tasks in our task management module ("storewalk").
  • Updated our task management guide and published to our knowledge base.
  • Improved the UI on task management pages to make them easier to interact with.
  • Shift Differentials can now be allocated to individual days of the week.
  • Meal penalties can now be assigned a custom pay code for exporting to payroll providers.

New Features:

  • Added an above-store dashboard on the TimeForge Manager app to allow regional and administrative staff to quickly view the sales and labor metrics of all locations they have access to on a single view.
  • Updated the Manager mobile app guide to reflect new above-store dashboard.
  • Completed sales integrations with PAR Brink and Clover.
